Hi, I'm Lauren currently studying Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London, after having studied A Levels in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Product Design. With a true passion and curiosity for learning new things I love to challenge myself and be ambitious! Inspiring others and their interest and confidence in a subject is truly the greatest achievement for me and that is what I would strive to do for any student no matter their level. Aside from academics in my spare time I love doing sports such as athletics and water-skiing!

Tutoring Experience

I have past experience tutoring GCSE students in their Maths and English studies through a school mentoring scheme. I ran weekly sessions for these groups of students giving each session a clear focus and then providing some additional work for the students to build upon that base of understanding we had created together.

Tutoring Approach

The best way to learn is when students feel inspired and interested so this is an environment I try to create. From the beginning I aim to understand where both their individual interests and challenges lie, and then from there, create an organised tutoring and study plan around the chosen subject areas, with a clear goal always in mind. By employing a variety of different types of resources and by discussing and explaining in the context of different examples, this allows the sessions to be as engaging as possible. I also always love to hear feedback directly from the students as to what they like best!
