Hello, I am a qualified teacher who has over 7 years of teaching experience I have experience working in Y2 and Y6 helping children achieve brilliant SATs results. I have many years of tutoring experience, including 11+, Maths, English and Reading.

4 years experience in primary education with extensive experience working with children who have SEN (including autism, speech and language needs).

1+ years teaching in secondary school at a specialist provision for students with speech and language needs

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style involves us initially tackling individual problems and any topics that a student may be struggling with, and then moving onto exam practice to build up the skills needed to get students where they need to be. I believe that every student deserves to succeed and that with work, patience, and understanding, all students can excel. I also find that when tutoring, a softer approach can work better for students who have found the exam-factory approach of schools to not match their needs. I make lessons personable to the child, incorporating the child's interests and fun games and activities to break up the tasks. I also allow time for movement breaks when necessary.
