I am fully qualified English teacher with 16 years classroom teaching experience. I have also been a marker for a major examination board for the past three years. I am enthusiastic and dedicated to helping students achieve. I have been tutoring for 4 years and have helped students achieve excellent results.

Tutoring Experience
I have worked for 16 years as an English teacher. I was second in department in a very successful school and in charge of Key Stage 4 achievement. My results have always been excellent including this year when a number of my students exceeded their targets by 2 grades. My speciality is English Language and Literature GCSE including a range of set texts. I can also teach Key Stage 3 students focusing on key skills in reading and writing and analysing poetry and prose.
Tutoring Approach
I want to work with individuals to help them improve their English skills and to achieve their full potential in examinations. Clear target setting will help the student make rapid progress towards their target grade. I focus on improving the knowledge and confidence of students helping them to tackle their exams feeling secure and ready to achieve.
