I am now in my thirteenth year of teaching and I have a permanent job within a large school in Ayr. When I am not teaching I love to spend time with family, socialise and go to the gym.

Tutoring Experience

Currently I am a Principal Teacher within a large Primary School with a remit of working with children who require a little additional help with their learning. I have extensive experience of working within all stages in the nursery and primary sector. My passion is teaching Numeracy and Literacy and English. I am equipped with the skills to provide children with a solid knowledge and understanding of key reading, writing and mathematical concepts. I have a wealth of experience of working with learners who have Dyslexia and Dyscalculia as well as social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have the skills in order to be able to identify specific barriers to learning that a child may have through rigorous assessment tools.

Tutoring Approach

I particularly enjoy teaching Maths and Literacy and English to children and I enjoy using a very active approach in order to help children learn. I have a very wide range of resources available to help support your child in the most effective way.
