25 years teaching mainly in secondary schools. Have also taught in FE and in the public sector. I also tutor at a private college.

Tutoring Approach

I have 25 years experience as a teacher, and have taught AQA, Edexcel and OCR and BTEC syllabuses.

I will help students with their understanding of theory and how to apply what they know in exams. I also teach students good exam technique, including how to understand clearly what a question is asking, and how to plan and structure high quality answers

I make the subject interesting and relevant for students, by relating topics to students everyday experiences. This helps understanding, as well as engaging students in their work.

I am patient and reliable, and am happy to travel to student's homes for tutoring. I have successfully tutored boys and girls from both state and independent schools.

I currently work as an A-level teacher at a secondary school rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted..
