This is how 3 referees rated Keith:
I am passionate about teaching and about ensuring that my students get the results that they desire and deserve. I am a full time Head of History with over 20 years experience in a variety of maintained and independent schools and, in addition, lecture and mentor undergraduates at university. I also continue to travel around the country delivering courses on a range of topics to history teachers and have written extensively on educational theory, professional development and of course History.
I have served in a wide variety of schools teaching the full range of ability in the age group 11-18. In addition to tutoring at Common Entrance and also GCSE, I have considerable experience in coaching students towards the A* grade at A level and for Oxbridge admission. I run workshops for adult learners and lead national conferences in developing the type of learning techniques necessary for success. In addition I have led a number of academic departments.
I am always responsive to what my student wants and I work hard to quickly establish the individual learning style that will bring results. I am very happy indeed to address any areas of knowledge or exam technique which students would like to focus most upon. This is supported by means of in depth and current experience of the requirements of all of the major examination boards. I hold that the best education responds to the learning style of the individual with a clear focus on what gets results in the exams.
