I am a fully qualified Maths teacher with a Bachelor's degree from Glasgow University, Masters degree from Caledonian University and a PGDE (teaching qualification) from Strathclyde University. I enjoy teaching all levels and abilities. My track record has proven success for my tutees and this latest academic year has been the most successful yet with all my pupils achieving their desired grades.
I'm in my 30s and have a friendly yet professional approach to my tutoring. I am registered with GTCS and Disclosure Scotland.
Nothing beats 1:1 tuition for improving an individual's confidence and ability.
I have successfully tutored Maths all my life, ranging from Primary 6 (Curriculum for Excellence) through to college/university courses.
I have taught in High Schools across Stirling and Falkirk councils but have found the satisfaction provided by giving 1:1 tuition much more fulfilling.
Small group tutoring is also great but with Maths in particular, sometimes it's just a lack of confidence holding a pupil back and that's when pupils benefit most from 1:1.
I aim to be friendly to my tutees but stress the importance of hard-work if they are to reach their potential in Maths. I am methodical and organised, ensuring I provide the best possible assistance to meet the success criteria for every individual.

Katy, very quickly, focused in on the key areas where he was struggling, broke the work down into logical manageable sections and led him through it. By developing his understanding in that way, he now finds Maths easier and takes great pride in bragging about his continued great results.
I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Katy's work.
