Hallo, I am Katja.
I am a patient and experienced native German tutor and examiner.
Born and raised in Germany by a mum who is also a German teacher. I am enthusiastic about languages and people. I studied French and German and also learned Spanish.
My aim is to make the German language and culture accessible for everyone.

Tutoring Experience

Since 2011 I have been teaching group courses at the Goethe Institute in London and tutoring hundreds of private students at every age. The students I tutored for their Goethe exams passed their exams with excellent results. I also prepare students for all Goethe exams from level A1-C2 as well as university exams.
As a certified examiner I am able to perform A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 exams at the Goethe Institut and I know how to prepare for them.

For over a decade I have been a private German Tutor for GCSE and A-level students. In addition to that I have also conducted and preparation workshops for GCSE and A-level at the Goethe Institut London. My lessons are tailor-made depending on your exam board and your abilities. We will work with past papers and specific work sheets I designed to help you master the exam. We will practice reading, writing as well as listening and speaking. You will learn set phrases and even what to do in case you don’t remember them. With my expertise and support your child will get your best possible grade!

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are all online and can take place via Skype, Zoom or FaceTime. Notes will be sent to you after each lesson.

Every session is carefully planned and executed including a large variety of different exercises. Challenging grammar is broken down into comprehensible and logical steps.

Vocabulary revision comes with games and multimedia aids to make the lesson enjoyable and effective at the same time.
