I am a Primary Teacher that has taught in Foundation, KS1 and KS2. I have worked with children with special educational needs from dyslexia to ASD and will soon be starting a MEd Inclusive Education specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
I am more than happy to tutor Phonics Screening Tests, KS1 and KS2 SATs, and GCSE Maths.
Please note there is a £5 surcharge for addresses more than 5 miles away from my location.
Since starting college in 2010 I have worked in nurseries and schools as a Teaching Assistant and Nursery Nurse. Once completing my BTEC National Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development with triple distinction, I went to New Jersey (USA) and worked with children with cancer and brain tumours aged 5-23 years old. From this I returned back to the UK to study Children's Physical Education BA Hons whilst working as a supply Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor in both primary and secondary mainstream, and special schools. Once achieving a 2.1 in my degree I went onto study my Primary PGCE at University of Southampton where I achieved an 'Outstanding' rating. I now currently work as a Year 2 teacher in a mainstream school, soon to start my Masters in Education.
My approach to tutoring completely depends on the needs of the individual - however I can always say that I ensure my sessions are fun, interactive and student centred/lead!
