I am a very experienced and successful A level Biology, Chemistry and GCSE Maths teacher and tutor. I have a passion for these subjects and enjoy passing on this love of them to my students. My A level Biology classs achieve grades making them in the top 1% of the country for achieving beyond their expected grades..
You will find me an understanding, patient and gentle tutor. I am a parent myself so have a real empathy with the concerns of parents for their children.
I have taught across primary, secondary and sixth form educational establishments over a long and enjoyable career. I have been an A level Biology exam marker for several years and felt that with this experience, i could help students achieve their goals in Biology, Chemistry or Maths.

Tutoring Experience

I have forty years teaching experience. My teaching career started in Scotland and I have taught students mainly from the age of nine to adulthood. I am presently teaching A level Biology and GCSE Maths, GCSE Science and Core Maths (a level 3 qualification) at a Sixth Form College. I keep up with current marking schemes by being an A level Biology examiner.
I taught in a middle school for twelve years and I have many years of teaching pupils with special educational needs. In addition to all this, I was employed by Suffolk County council as a home tutor teaching a variety of students with a range of special needs. I feel I can draw on lots of experience to meet the individual needs of my tutees.

My approach is very much centred on raising your confidence. This is achieved by step by step bespoke tuition. Before you know it, you will be tackling those tricky areas of the curriculum with enthusiasm. You will take end up taking challenges in your stride.
