I am a passionate, qualified secondary English teacher who loves to read, creatively write and direct.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching KS3 & KS4 English for three years and have over fifteen years of Drama tutoring experience. I currently teach GCSE English literature for the EDUCAS specification and English Language for the AQA specification.

I also have experience teaching with an Independent Performing Arts school. My sessions are completely student led which means it is my job to enable them to achieve their goals. I am a great believer in the use of performing arts in helping to improve confidence in young people. It is the biggest compliment when a student achieves something that they didn't think was possible.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that it is important to be passionate about what you study and to also have a hands on approach to learning.
I work with students to realise their own ambitions and to improve their confidence in their own skills and abilities.
I believe that developing a good rapport with students is the absolute key to success and I try very hard to do this by seeing each student as an individual with different strengths and interests.
