Information About Kate - Cockermouth tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Kate:
I am in my ninth year of teaching A level psychology and am Head of Psychology at a local secondary school. I currently teach AS and A2 Psychology, alongside the new linear A level for AQA. I am an examiner for AQA and therefore have a valuable insight into the requirements of the exam board and how to access the higher bands of the mark scheme. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a Clinical Psychologist. I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and this gives me a great breadth and depth of psychological knowledge, which is useful in bringing the syllabus to life and encouraging students to deepen their learning beyond the classroom.
I am now in my ninth year of teaching. I have taught a range of qualifications, from GCSE, to A level and degree. I teach the new AQA linear A level syllabus, but am able to tutor all exam boards.
I aim to make tutor sessions interactive, interesting and engaging, through discussion and questioning. I will focus on the student's area of need, be that revision of lesson content, exam technique and revision and memory strategies (for learning all those studies!).
