I am positive, highly motivated and experienced. I provide support for students to gain the key study skills and subject knowledge to reach their full potential. I am knowledgeable and passionate about Psychology, Health & Social Care and Child Care and Early Years Education courses. With my knowledge in 'memory' I have an excellent record of supporting students with revision and exams and enabling them to go move forward with their educational journey from GCSE - University. I provide high quality support for students with coursework on vocational courses in order for them to achieve their potential and to go on and be successful in their chosen careers. I have very good feedback from previous students who have been a mix of neuro typical/ diverse.

I am currently accepting:
- Students with day time availability or early evening.
- Level 2, GCSE, Level 3, A level and degree students.
- If your teen would benefit from coaching, self esteem or confidence building, I'm also a qualified associate and professional teen life coach so can offer this service.
- I'm an education coach at all levels so happy to support you as parents with organising and helping your child to keep on top of things, or I can do this directly with the student. Ask about my accountability package or coaching package,

Tutoring Approach

My approach:
Establish learner style, cover gaps in learning, focus on specific needs of the learner. When tutoring for exams; focus is specifically on the paper, the content, how to answer exam questions, memory techniques, revision tips, taking into account all learner styles.

I have a genuine passion for Psychology, Health & Social Care and Childcare and Education and really enjoy teaching these subjects. My enthusiasm motivates my students. I have over 15 years experience typically teaching within schools but now tutor one to one and also small groups either face to face or electronically. I work in line with the current specification of what the student is learning, revising or creating coursework for. I set work for students and give them feedback to ensure they are progressing each time. This is measurable and graded. I also look at tasks they have been set by their school/college and support them with planning so they fully understand the requirements that are needed to gain the best grades they can achieve. I ensure I am available throughout the week with some online support via email and can be contacted via google meet at an additional cost.

Study skills tutoring: This is for all ages and abilities and focus is on technique, planning, supporting you/your child to meet deadlines and cheer them on through their journey. Therefore, I support you/your child through a stressful time in life. I help them to plan their time and create revision timetables, plans, resources and so on. This is a holistic educational support service. My Pug 'Tiggy' sometimes joins in with the session for younger students which can support them in keeping it fun and interesting and help them to stay on target. I also include anti-stress resources, stress busting techniques, basic mindfulness skills, breaking down stress barriers worksheets, tips and discussions.

I like to stay in touch with parents to update you regularly on your Child's progress.
