Having had a career in education and training spanning many years, over ten years ago now in 2009, I developed what has grown into a vibrant and busy arts education practice, first in Barcelona where I set up a new art school - The English Art School. And now in London where I have my studio and in East Kent where I have my seaside studio.
I work with students on clarifying what is required by the assessment criteria. Your knowledge deepens and you gain a strong and confident understanding of the arts and the art world, culminating in achieving great results.
Alongside this, I enjoy teaching Art & Design in sixth form colleges and lecturing in History of Art and Drawing at the renowned Morley College, London. Also, I enjoy giving talks and lectures as guest Art Historian, to varied organisations in and around London.
For students who love the flexibility of online learning, I use a professional platform that offers enhanced learning experience where we can work on your essay together on screen. And you can ask me to record your tutorials for a recap and revision in your own time. I really enjoy online tutoring because it is flexible, fun. And can be tailored to fit the differing needs of learners and students.
Please make a no obligation enquiry about my online tutoring.
I firmly believe that by embracing all aspects of a subject, it comes to life, makes sense and hence improves outcomes. My tutoring sessions often takes place in art galleries — the best understanding being gained by engaging first hand with the art works. I develop learner independence in order to build up self-belief and equip learners with the tools needed for future or more advanced learning.
Additionally, my sessions can take place at important Art School degree shows, open artist studios and in art galleries and specialist art libraries — the best understanding being gained by engaging first hand with the art works, artists sketchbooks and letters and meeting artists in person.
There is no right or wrong way to learn — but it is certainly important to enjoy the experience and embrace the subject along the way to success.
