I am a passionate and friendly teacher and my philosophy is that any child can achieve when given the right support and time. I am a learner at heart and consider every lesson an opportunity to both teach and learn, my passion for learning is what motivates me to support my students to feel the same about the potential they have to learn and grow. I feel strongly about learning relationships and nurturing the whole child to support their learning.
I am a primary school teacher with a range of experience across key stages. I have tutored for over 5 years and covered year 1-6 as well as 11+ tutoring. I am passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and unlock new found skills and confidence through my tutoring. I also have experience in supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and relish the challenge of identifying new ways for children to learn and progress where conventional methods have been unsuccessful.
I believe in getting to know children, their interests and strengths in order to design lessons that unlock both their interest and understanding. Engaging and fun activities are vital to ensure that learning remains enjoyable and productive for the learner. A central thread for my teaching is finding opportunities to succeed in order to support the learners’ confidence and therefore attainment by promoting a can do attitude and overcoming misconceptions.
