Hello, I am a violin teacher based in Lancashire, I work at Blackburn School of Music, and Lancashire Music Service. I also play solo violin in concerts and in October of this year will play the Mendelssohn violin concerto at Townley Hall, Burnley, and will also play duets with some of my best students.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 11 years, ranging from primary schools to high schools, and private lessons teaching all ages. I encourange my students to perform regularly, and have had some good success stories with one of my students getting into Cheethams school of music, and another student who acheived grade 8 violin with distinction.

Tutoring Approach

I generally use the ABRSM grade books to provide a gradual progression in students ability, but also I listen to students needs. If they want to play bittersweet symphony or some indian violin instead, I will teach it to them! I can provide some very effective practice techniques that are proven to work and help students reach a very high standard of playing.
