I have always enjoyed teaching Computer Science and Programming.
I get on very well with my students who enjoy my approach to teaching.
My aim is to make sure students achieve their potential and help them get higher grades.

Tutoring Experience

Many years experience teaching Computer Science and Programming.
Postgraduate qualifications in Education and in Computer Science
Currently has a permanent position teaching A-level Computer Science and Programming at a sixth form college.
Currently teaching Python, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, Regex, algorithms, data structures
Also experienced in teaching Java, C, C++.
Worked as a computing professional before moving into teaching.

Tutoring Approach

Initial consultation with student to agree an approach.
All topics taught using many example programs wherever possible.
Student encouraged to predict what these programs will do. Then move on to run and modify them and finally to create their own programs.
Lessons can be run in tandem with school work.
Often at school students have missed the chance to master the early building blocks in computer programming and I will work to ensure these are in place.
