I am a BSc Finance graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and have achieved an A* in A level Maths, A* in GCSE Maths and A* in Additional Maths. Whether it's helping with a university personal statement, CV advice or preparation for an online careers test, I take pride in going the extra mile for my students. I am always available outside the lesson and usually students send me difficult questions or homework, which I respond to quickly with a detailed solution. I teach students in alignment with their specific exam board, leaving no stone unturned, so that students are fully prepared for every possible question that can be asked in the exam. My aim is to give no less than 100% effort in working with you to to achieve your (sons/daughters) goals. I understand first-hand the hardship that comes with GCSE's/A-Levels and consequently teach in a way that keeps your (sons/daughters) motivation high throughout the year.
I have been tutoring privately for 5 years and all students that have been with me for the course of the year have achieved A/A*.
Also I have taught primary school students at an after school tuition organisation, 'First Class Learning'.
I have ran a GCSE maths workshop at St. Bernard's Catholic Grammar School for students who require additional help.
I believe that Maths is a subject that everyone can excel in if taught correctly. I help students strengthen the fundamental concepts required and then aid students to explore more sophisticated ideas, developing their logic and problem solving skills, so that it can be applied to tackle any questions that feature in the exam. The A*/A students understand and practice what they have learnt whereas other students learn formulae and methods to regurgitate onto the exam paper. Therefore these students fall short on the difficult questions that are worded strangely testing a deeper understanding of topics. My simplistic approach, builds a strong base onto which students can develop their understanding in depth, thus can easily apply their knowledge in an exam or in other maths integrated subjects (Physics, Economics etc.).
