I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with extensive experience in Key Stage One and Early Years. As Assistant Head Teacher and lead teacher for phonics and English, I am fully aware of all current practices with regards to the teaching of reading and writing within the primary age range. I have also spent many years guiding children towards meeting the expected standard for all Key Stage One assessments.
I have been teaching for ten years and have been a leader for five years. I have considerable experience of planning and teaching well thought out and accessible lessons for children in reading, writing and maths which enables the child to make accelerated progress. Outside of teaching, I have also worked in nurseries supporting children with their early development. My entire career has centered around education and encouraging children to develop their confidence and to achieve their best.
I use a variety of approaches dependent on the individual and their learning needs. I take into account their interests and work to incorporate these into my lessons to keep children fully engaged. I always endeavor to make my lessons fun to ensure that children enjoy sessions and can benefit fully from my experience and the one to one approach. I make sure that children know they can ask me any questions throughout the lessons so that I can help to develop their confidence.
