I am a qualified teacher with 30 years extensive teaching experience in both primary and secondary age ranges in Wolverhampton schools.
I tutor individual pupils on a 1-1 at my home or I will travel to your home if you live very locally.

Tutoring Experience

I teach a wide range of abilities including those with SpLD including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and ADHD. My extensive experience includes working as a class teacher, Special Needs support teacher Special Needs Co Coordinator, Gifted and More Able Coordinator and music teacher. I am trained in Reading Recovery and have a full working knowledge of the new National Curriculum requirements.I am qualified to complete Diagnostic Assessments for children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Access Arrangements for examinations.

Tutoring Approach

I offer high quality, multi-sensory tuition to motivate and build confidence which is individually tailored to suit your child. Ongoing assessment is part of my tutoring process. I have up to date resources and a wealth of strategies to help support pupils. I can support your child with many general subject areas including GCSE English Language and Literature as well as any specific aspect of academic work that they need help with including spelling, phonics, times tables, study skills and exam techniques.
