I enjoy playing netball, as well as helping my husband with our allotment, when I have free time.
I have also recently completed a Masters in Education, which was a 3 year part-time course.
I have been teaching for 11 years and really enjoy both my subjects of History and Psychology. I teach all age ranges at secondary level and have helped my students achieve some excellent results. My most recent GCSE group for history gained 100% A*-B, with 55% of them getting A*-A. I am on the Teaching and Learning team in my school, which means I get to help other teachers develop their skills and become better teachers.
I love my job and enjoy tutoring as you can focus on the in-depth aspects of topics, whilst having the challenge of coming up with new revision techniques. I tutored the same student for the past two years for psychology and had the joy of seeing her improve from getting E grade targets from her school at the start of her AS year to actually achieving a B grade at the end of her two years.
