My name is Jennie. I am a 35 year old secondary school teacher. I studied in Germany and England to become a teacher of languages. I have dual nationality and I am fluent in German and English. I got a master degrees in language teaching. I moved to Nottingham 10 years ago.
I've been teaching every age group from primary up to adults. I used to work as a teacher in Germany teaching English and philosophy and currently teaching German and French to secondary school children. I currently teach German up to A-Level, but I am qualified to teach to a higher level. If you need any help with upcoming exams, a level or GCSE, feel free to contact me.
I think learning a language should be approached in an interactive way. Being able to speak the language is very important and therefore I would practise speaking from an early stage. Understanding rules and applying these is vital when learning a new language. Moreover, knowing basic vocabulary and knowing how to make language your own is an important skill which requires practise. I try to make learning a new language as enjoyable as possible and use a variety of techniques to do so. Enjoying learning a new languages makes it much easier and you will remember vocabulary and grammar rules much better.
