Broadstairs Tutor

BACKGROUND

I am married and I have lived in Broadstairs since 2006.

I have been a lecturer and private tutor in Mathematics, Physics and Mechanical Engineering in South Africa for 14 years, before emigrating to the UK in 1997.

I retired in 2014 and tutor full time since then.

ENHANCED DBS CERTIFICATE

My current and up to date Enhanced DBS Certificate has been provided to the agency and it has been approved.

BUYING MY DETAILS

After buying my details from the agency, you will receive my contact details.

In the light of the latest changes to Data Protection Laws, I will not receive your details and will therefore wait for you to contact me.

AVAILABILITY & TUTORING LOCATIONS

I am available throughout the year, Monday to Friday, mainly in Broadstairs, Birchington, Westgate, Margate and Ramsgate.

I prefer to tutor the tutees in their own homes, where they are more comfortable.

Because tutoring is a commitment of reliability and availability between both parties, I expect full payment if you cancel the tutoring session on the same day. By cancelling the session on the same day does not allow me to arrange for someone else to take that time slot.

Tutoring Approach

SYLLABUS

I tutor according to the present official syllabus.

METHODOLOGY and APPROACH

I concentrate on laying a firm foundation of the subject matter principles, and then to build confidence in the ability to be able to apply those principles.

I revise both the work the tutees find difficult at the moment and the work that they might not have been taught properly and diligently in the school.

I regularly revise questions from past question papers with the tutees.

I give tutees homework, mark it and discuss it with them.

I give the parents of the tutees access to my Google drive to download my notes, past question papers and mark schemes.

ONLINE TUTORING

I also tutor online via SKYPE.
