Hi, I’m Jamie- a third year medical student at UCL with 3 A*’s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Having recently gone through the new and updated GCSE and A level process myself I completely understand the position that secondary school students are in. I see this as an ADVANTAGE as it has allowed me to see from a student's perspective, what is effective and useful.
My tailored tutoring approach involves customised practice questions incorporating research proven methods of learning: spaced repetition, active recall and interleaving. Frequent progress checks alongside access to lots of questions from EXAMPRO ensures that my students get more than enough practice before exams

I am also available for personal statement, UCAT, BMAT and medical school admissions advice, having myself received three offers for Medicine from UCL, King’s and Bristol. My UCAT score of 3050 places me well into the top 2% of the 2020 UCAT cohort (out of ~28,000 medical and dental candidates).
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have!
I have had 7 years of experience tutoring from 11+ students all the way to adult learners. This has allowed me to practice tailoring my approach to each students unique needs that help to simplify difficult concepts in easy ways.
RESULTS 2023
100% of my students last year got A*
A level student who was originally predicted a C but got an A*
A level student who was originally predicted a C but got an A*
A level student who was orginally predicted an A but got an A*
I believe that effective planning and starting early are key aspects of my approach.
Being clear and concise whilst providing enough detail is another key aspect of my approach.
When I first take on a student I have key concepts that I like set out:
-STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES; Have a chat after the first lesson to determine where the student needs help and what they personaly struggle on
-PLANNING; Make a timetabled plan detailing content we will cover, homework set, marks etc. until the start of the first exam
-PRACTICE; Go through the content whilst setting exam questions after every lesson
