James has been an excellent tutor so far and we continue to use him. My daughter’s confidence in maths has increased tremendously. James teaches in a style that my daughter understands and moves at a pace she is comfortable with. Which is an experience she is not always able to get at school. These tutoring sessions are definitely an investment in regards to my child’s future. Would definitely recommend

James is a personable and excellent tutor, after few sessions my son is already growing in confidence in Maths. His progress in his maths assessments is evidence of how effective James is as a tutor. We will continue engaging James for the long term as my son’s maths Tutor.

James has been working with our son for several weeks now. Our son has a diagnosis of ASD and finds meeting new people tricky. He also finds maths very hard and really doesn't enjoy the subject at all. James has put him at ease from the outset, helping him to explain what he finds hard and to work collaboratively with him. Our son reports finding the sessions useful and remarkably, for someone who really does not like Maths, he says he quite enjoys the lessons. James has been completely consistent and reliable and is always quick to communicate with us. We have been really glad we asked him to tutor our son!

Roger has been tutoring my son for a few months now and has built an excellent working relationship with him. My son looks forward to maths now & his confidence growing with every lesson. Liaison re homework and lesson content has been good and he understands what topics need to be covered when, he has proved an excellent maths tutor.

I was struggling with many topics from the Maths GCSE before I got Mr as a tutor. He carefully explained everything, and helped me with anything that I struggled with. Before I got him as a tutor I was scraping a 6 in Maths, however after just a couple of lessons I started to understand a lot more and became more confident in the subject. I am currently awaiting my GCSE result and I feel like it will be much higher.

My son has been struggling in maths and about to do his GCSE’s, but since starting tutoring lessons with James I’m happy to see him improve and I believe he could achieve a good grade with hard work and determination. James puts a lot of effort and time into helping my son and has a lot of patience. I recommend James 100%.

My son is currently studying in Year 11 and preparing for his GCSEs.

We had retained a Maths tutor prior to Roger but were dissatisfied with his preparation, tutoring and follow through. Hence we decided to switch Maths tutors.

We retained Roger James and the difference in tutoring was vast. Roger comes prepared with a topic and game plan before each tutoring session, connects well with my son, provides homework. After each session Roger emails me as well as my son summarising the session and outlining the homework. This was we all know where things stand.

I would recommend Roger as a Maths tutor and will continue with him for my younger son who will sit his GCSEs in a few years. Thanks for the assistance.

James has been a fabulous maths tutor to our 13 year old son. He is thoughtful, engaging, thorough, comes well prepared for sessions and our son has really enjoyed his tutorials and made great progress with him. I would thoroughly recommend him to other families.

My son has been learning Maths with James since January. He is very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how he present the material. His lessons are engaging and useful. I woud highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning.

It’s great knowing if something difficult comes up at school she can speak to you about it and learn the strategy for it . James has been excellent tutoring my year 10 daughter consolidating her work and finding gaps in her knowledge. Since seeing James her marks have increased and I’m confident that going forward he will help her gain her optimum mark in Maths GCSE next year.

It has been a pleasure meeting James and my kids always enjoyed his Maths sessions (and they do not usually enjoy Maths!) James is very organised and professional. He had every lesson planned and provided activity sheets for the kids to work on. In addition, James is very good at picking out behaviours that the kids sometimes default to when getting stuck and he helped bring that to the kids awareness so that they can break that pattern - calmly think through the question rather than panic and guess!

James is an excellent tutor. He is really reliable and has a very warm manner. He also explains concepts very clearly and patiently.

James has greatly increased my 9 year old son's confidence and enjoyment of maths. He enjoys the sessions which are fun, engaging yet relaxed and I feel that the additional tuition is helping his skills greatly. Where as previously he was struggling to grasp the underlying concept of maths James is able to explain things in a way he is receptive to and he engages well in the topics covered. We spent some time thinking about a maths tutor before going ahead and I was wary of how my son would take to it but it has been a fabulous positive experience and I can highly recommend James. He has been adaptive to my son's needs and level and encourages him each week which has greatly raised his confidence and enthusiasm for maths. We are delighted.
