A 32 year old experienced tutor, mathematician and qualified teacher. Previous to getting into formal Maths teaching, experience in a variety of education related roles, including the teaching of English and Spanish as foreign languages and beginner guitar.
Active in teaching and learning throughout life. In terms of Maths teaching in particular: completing a PGCE in Maths teaching at Newcastle University 2015-2016, including spells at Queen Elizabeth in Hexham and John Spence Community High School in North Shields. From August 2016 to December 2017 employed as a full time Maths teacher to all ages and levels up to GCSE.
Based upon developing an understanding of the subject, putting foundations in place and progressing from there. Emphasis on problem solving and exam technique also important.
