I am a very experienced practicing teacher, former Head of History in one of NIs best grammar schools. I am now a college lecturer teaching History ages 16+
My students say I am a 'legend'.
Home is near BALLYMENA/RANDALSTOWN just off the M2.
I am an experienced tutor of GCSE, AS, A2 level and access level History but my focus is A level.
I have 29 years of successful teaching experience in my main subject which is History in Secondary, grammar and Further Education sectors.
I teach the CCEA specifications including the brand new specifications and have been trained in their implementation. However, I have also taught other exam boards.
My resources are first class, regularly updated.
I have marked for CCEA in the past year.
My Results are above the NI grammar average every year at GCSE/AS + A2 levels
Professional, committed approach with excellent personal and interpersonal skills and good sense of humour. One to one is so much better than Easter Revision classes in large groups with a lack of individual attention.
I have been there and bought the tee shirt - working with high flyers to ensure top grades and with those who maybe struggle to ensure grade improvement using a variety of teaching techniques and resources.
Practice makes perfect thus a strong emphasis on teaching and explanation but also past paper questions. All questions will be marked and feedback for improvement given.
I believe the more you put in the greater the reward will be. I am here to help you achieve your best.

We were very happy with our meeting yesterday. Rebecca expressed appreciation for the way you broke down concepts and gave her a preliminary structure for approaching questions on the exam. This is precisely the type of thing she needs. We would like to continue seeing you on a one-to-one basis if you are equally agreeable.
The only thing I would like to add is that meeting a stranger for the first time in their home can be a daunting and slightly unsettling experience for a young girl. I would encourage you to actively encourage a family member to be present, for the safety of all (as indeed you did do).
Thanks and looking forward to further sessions,
