Personal Description:

I graduated with a first class Masters of Engineering from Oxford. I have been a secondary school teacher for 10 years, specialising in Physics, Science and Maths. I have been an examiner and coursework moderator. I have done thousands of hours of private tuition across all different ages and abilities. I have tutored students for entrances exams into prestigious schools such as Eton, Westminster and Winchester. I am also a UCAS advisers specialising in Medicine, Dentistry, Vet Sci and Law. Advising student on how to get in to medical school is a particular specialty of mine.

Tutoring Experience:

I've now taught in a variety of schools from an inner-city London school to more recently completing a period as Head of Physics in the Middle East. I now work as a Physics teacher at a top independent school is West London. I have tutored for over seven years, gaining increasing satisfaction from watching young peoples' mind develop and confidence grow.

I am an exam board examiner and moderator, which is a great insight into how to prepare pupils for examinations as well as address their wider educational needs. Education is a crucial part of any persons' life and as such I approach tutoring with both rigour and passion!

In addition to helping student achieve their best grades at GCSE, IGCSE and A Level, I have also been successful in tutoring students for common entrance. I have helped students secure places at schools such as Winchester, Westminster and Eton.

Tutoring Approach:

Building self confidence and fostering a love for the subject is my overall aim. To do this I endeavour to establish a close working relationship with each tutee based on trust and their confidence in me to facilitate their exam success as well as address their wider educational needs. Thought process, rather than content, lies at the heart of my ambition to develop self sufficient learners yet I appreciate than content and technique cannot be understated when preparing for exams.
