I have just completed my BEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield. I offer chemistry, physics and math tutoring for all levels.
NB: I usually do 1 hr 30 minute classes, at £11 per hour so £16 per session (hence the rate below)

Tutoring Experience

My previous tutees have improved their grades in chemistry from an E to an A in the span of 8 months and my past students in maths have moved from an F to an A in 10 months, so I can assure you that your academics are in good hands.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching methods are very flexible and inclusive and I will adapt to your needs as a student very quickly to ensure clear communication so you may grasp the syllabus content and the methods/techniques needed to apply the subject material in the future.
My teaching style most often starts with revisiting (or building) the pre-requisite knowledge of a concept and then adding the more complex, fine details required in the syllabus, and those more generally required for the student to truly understand and apply the topic in their syllabus and beyond. I then build on this with a cross-examination of the student's understanding by having them teach it all back to me, which allows us to identify and work on any difficulties they may have when transferring their understanding of the concepts to someone else. This ensures that the student understands the syllabus thoroughly and will also be able to effectively communicate it to the examiner using key technical phrases, drawings & terminologies or mathematical calculations, methods etc in their exams and in the future when they are required to use that knowledge in their career path/academics.
