Hi I'm Jade. I am a fully qualified Science Teacher. I am am able to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics up GCSE. I am also able to offer Biology at A-level. In addition, I am able to offer tuition for the exam based units (unit 1 and 5) in BTEC level 3 applied science. Tuition for this is £35 per hour as it is post-16.

I graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2008 and hold BSc (Hons) Biology degree.

I have experience teaching in a wide variety of Educational environments. I have a recent DBS check and I am registered with the update service.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching science for 145years and have a lot of experience teaching a range of different exam boards in a variety of educational settings. For example, AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I also tutor students aged 5-16 at a successful private tuition business.

I have experience running after school intervention sessions for students who require support. I like to make learning fun and like to personalise lessons so students can make progress no matter what their ability is.

Tutoring Approach

Initially I will discuss a tutees strengths and areas for development. If required I will get you to do some exam style questions/past paper questions or an assessment appropriate for your age/targets to find out what you require support with.

I will then put a individually tailored tutoring plan together and teach topics you need support with. Sometimes it takes practice master exam technique/how to plan and conduct scientific investigations. I will teach you how to address certain skills and question types.
