I graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2006 with a Postgraduate Certificate in teaching and a Masters in Learning and Teaching from UCL in 2015. As a lifelong learner I believe it is important that I continue to develop my educational knowledge.

I am an outgoing and friendly person with a creative approach to my teaching. Teaching is my passion, and I will only teach what I can be enthusiastic about and aim to make this enthusiasm as infectious in the learner.

Tutoring Experience

I have 17 years teaching experience, teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have up-to-date understanding and experience of SATs preparation in both Year 2 and Year 6. I can cater for the individual learner and I am passionate about ensuring all children reach their full potential. I have a wealth of knowledge regarding many areas of the national curriculum. I would enjoy the opportunity to tutor individual students.

I have tutored children in English. Maths, Science as well as supporting them with their reading and homework.

Subjects offered:Maths, English, Phonics, Reading & Comprehension, Science and Computing(must have WIFI and access to a tablet, desk computer or laptop).

Tutoring Approach

I believe it is important to get to know your child's capabilities, in order to identify what area of their learning they are confident in and those they may need further support with. This will help me to tailor the sessions to their needs and help them to overcome any barriers and close any gaps in their learning. In this way, your child gets a personalised learning environment that matches their needs and helps to build their confidence.

I am available during the summer holidays should your child need support to catch-up or in preparation for next academic year.
