Hello! I'm Jack and I'm a third year student of Theoretical Physics at the University of Glasgow, having also studied abroad at the National University of Singapore for one year.
I achieved As at Intermediate 2 (comparable to National 5 or GCSE), Higher and Advanced Higher level in both mathematics and physics, and am on track to receive a 2:1 MSc in the aforementioned degree - therefore I am well qualified to teach at any high school level of these subjects.
My interest in maths and physics is extremely strong and I very much enjoy sharing my passion for the subjects with younger students.
To date I have taught several pupils in mathematics, physics and music, mostly through family friends and word of mouth. I am looking to expand this into a more official capacity by obtaining more pupils.
My method of teaching involves establishing clear short and long term targets for each pupil and working at a pace reflective of the standard of their target with a fun and approachable manner. It is important to me that the students enjoy the tutorials as well as benefit from them academically.
I am able to provide additional example questions and recommend the best reference notes to use for each specific area of study, and help outside of tutorials is included in my rate. This includes being contacted at any time to request additional help on specific examples on topics that may have been discussed in previous tutorials.
I am extremely dedicated to my students and helping them achieve their targets is a high priority for me.
