Hello! A bit about me :)
- I'm Jack, originally from Glasgow but been living in London for the last 3 years
- I studied Theoretical Physics at the University of Glasgow, (and, for a year, the National University of Singapore), achieving a 1st class degree. Learned programming in C/C++ & Python as part of this, with a final year project on applying deep learning within a particle physics context
- I've held several technical positions over the past 4 years, using Python as a data scientist / machine learning engineer (& some back-end engineering along the way)
I have over three years of tutoring experience, having tutored Maths & Physics throughout uni, with unanimously positive feedback. As part of my day job, I've coached plenty of data scientists and engineers how to write better Python.
I've been coding Python consistently for ~6 years - 2 years in an academic setting and 4 years professionally.
My method of teaching involves establishing clear short and long term targets for each pupil and working at a pace reflective of the standard of their target with a fun and approachable manner. It is important to me that the students enjoy the tutorials as well as benefit from them.
Please note I am only currently available for online tuition.
