I am a maths tutor based in Otley offering GCSE and A Level maths tuition.

I achieved A* in both maths and further maths A Level - 94% in maths, 91% in further maths. I competed in the British Maths Olympiad Round 1 in 2017.

I offer recent first hand experience of studying for and taking modern exams, and of using a wide variety of resources available to do so.

Please note that for A Level Further Maths there is a wide range of optional modules and I am not familiar with every module - as such, my hourly rate may be higher than advertised for certain modules. My normal rate for A Level Further Maths is £45/hr. I am also available to tutor STEP, TMUA, and MAT university entrance exams for £50/hr.

Tutoring Experience

I began tutoring professionally around three years ago. Since then I have worked with students from Year 7 to Year 13.

I am experienced with all exam boards at all levels.

Tutoring Approach

I use a range of approaches to complement and support the teaching in schools. Sessions are tailored to the individual student based on their needs, and can range from focussing in detail on the theory of small specific areas to practicing and revising many topics, typically using exam style questions.

Closer to exam time sessions will typically focus on past papers, and I will also advise students on their own revision where appropriate.
