I also have extensive experience teaching key stage 3 English and Maths, and am skilled at identifying and addressing individual learning needs. I believe in creating a personalized learning environment that meets the needs and interests of each student, while challenging them to achieve their full potential.
Whether you're a student seeking to improve your grades or an adult looking to enhance your knowledge and skills in sports management, business, economics, English or Maths, I'm here to help. With my expertise, passion, and dedication to student success, I can help you reach your goals and realize your full potential.
I have been working as a full-time Sports Tutor with Morthyng Group Limited for the past 3 and a half years. In this role, I design and deliver sports-related courses to students, covering topics such as coaching, sports science, and management. I work closely with students to provide them with personalized support and guidance, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals. As a Sports Tutor, I also assist with the administration and coordination of sports-related events and activities, ensuring that students have access to a range of opportunities to develop their skills and interests.
I have over 6 years of experience in teaching and tutoring in the subjects of Business, Physical Education, Economics , English, and Maths. My teaching experience ranges from Key Stage 3 all the way up to degree level. I have delivered over 400 hours of one-to-one private tutoring and have taught in a variety of schools using different exam boards such as Pearson, AQA, and WJEC.
As a study skills tutor, I work with two special need learners who are studying Law and Business at the undergraduate level. My primary responsibility is to support these students in their studies by helping them develop essential academic skills, such as critical thinking, time management, note-taking, and exam preparation.
I provide one-on-one tutoring sessions that are tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style. During these sessions, I work with the students to identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop strategies to help them overcome any obstacles that may be hindering their progress.
In addition to providing academic support, I also help my students navigate the challenges of university life, such as managing their workload, dealing with stress and anxiety, and balancing their studies with other commitments.
Overall, my role as a study skills tutor is to provide my students with the tools and resources they need to succeed academically and to help them develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive in their studies and beyond.
During my time as a tutor, I have developed a unique approach to teaching that focuses on helping students develop effective study skills and problem-solving abilities. I believe that every student is different and therefore requires a customized approach to teaching. I take time to understand each student's learning style and adapt my teaching methods accordingly.
I always strive to make my lessons interactive and engaging to keep my students interested and motivated. For example, when teaching economics, I might use real-world examples to illustrate complex concepts, encouraging students to think critically and engage with the subject matter. I also like to use multimedia resources, such as videos and online simulations, to make the learning experience more immersive and enjoyable.
When teaching key stage 3 English and Maths, I focus on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of each subject, while also keeping the lessons interesting and relevant. For example, I might use games or puzzles to help students practice their Maths skills or use creative writing exercises to help them develop their English language proficiency.
Ultimately, I believe that creating a positive, collaborative learning environment is key to engaging students and helping them achieve their full potential. By tailoring my lessons to the unique needs and interests of each student, I strive to make learning a fun, rewarding, and memorable experience.
