For the past 5 years I’ve work as a specialist Mathematics Teacher in a co-ed primary school. In my spare time I coach sport teams, play tennis and the drums.
I've taught specifically Maths in a primary school after a Primary PGCE from Cambridge University. My first class bachelors degree was also in Education. I have always worked with children in some capacity. Before I lead a scouts group, and I have spent 6 months in Africa as a volunteer hockey, Maths and English teacher.
I have also been a Kumon Maths tutor in Hertfordshire.
Currently, I teach Maths to years 4, 5, 6 and 7 and 8. I also run small support groups for years 6, 7 and 8.
I am an exceptionally positive person and I am a strong believer in the key role that confidence plays in learning. I am very patient and my main aim is to ensure children enjoy learning Maths. Having worked with children with dyslexia, and maths processing difficulties, I understand the need to use a multi-sensory approach. I have many learning resources and I like to bring maths to life with these and with drawings. Having taught the entire new Maths curriculum to school years 4-8, I am very prepared to best serve your child.
