I am an experienced primary school teacher with a passion for teaching young children to read. I love to read myself and like to see children’s excitement when they develop their own reading skills. As a phonics leader, I help children progress in their relationship with literature as well as helping them start their literary journey, with an enjoyment for reading and a love of books.

Tutoring Experience

I am an accomplished primary school teacher, having worked in Early Years and Key Stage 1 for 20 years. I specialise in phonics but have always taught and enjoyed teaching the whole national curriculum.

My teaching approach is personal, adapting to each individual child as to what their learning style and needs are. I make my lessons interactive and engaging, ensuring all children have fun with their education. I pride myself on helping children to build their confidence and support them in reaching their full potential.
