I am an experienced, qualified foreign language teacher based in London SW20. Typically my students are based in South West London and Surrey but I also teach via Skype which enables those who live further away to have lessons with me.
After finishing my studies in French & German in Leeds, I then lived and worked in the French Alsace. I later took up Italian back here.
Since returning to the UK, I have worked in the commercial domain where the use of my languages has always been required. I started tutoring 14 years ago and now it is my focus.
I teach students of all ages at all levels of proficiency and also work in the business sector.
In addition I teach English to non-native English speakers so that they can become confident in speech and grammar.
I have been tutoring in French, German and Italian for the last 15 years and my results are excellent - I have taught my students how to excel in their languages and I have given them confidence to 'fly alone' by reestablishing the basics and then building up.
I carefully assess where my students have gaps in their knowledge and then build on them through grammar and vocabulary. I therefore give my students the building blocks to create their own sentences in writing and speech.
I work with their textbooks but also provide my own material to make lessons more interesting. I also use interactive material as well as focusing on past papers and oral exams to help gain confidence in the language.
I engage well with all my students and make the lessons enjoyable and less like an extension of school. My conversation classes with adults are always fast-paced and fun, and my students very quickly widen their vocabulary and gain confidence in the new language.
