I am a fully qualified Maths Teacher currently working in Aberdeenshire Council. I have been teaching for more than 6 years. I have extensive knowledge of National 3,4, 5 and Higher. I am also happy to help first and second year pupils who are following the Curriculum for Excellence in their schools. I have extensive experience of teaching Maths and current up-to-date knowledge of Maths curriculum in Scottish schools.
I am natural teacher with lots of teaching and tutoring experience covering several years in which I have taught many students privately. I have an expert knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and standards in Scottish qualifications at National 4/5 and Higher Level.
Apart from my experience of secondary Maths teaching, I have more than 4 year experience of working in primary schools. My course in Strathclyde University had given me opportunities to work in schools as part of my training. I can support children with basic numeracy difficulties and gaps in Maths knowledge because of my extensive experience in teaching.
I have worked in the past with students who find learning challenging due to weak academic foundations. Most of my students have greatly benefited from my wealth of teaching experience.
I work as a Maths teacher and my job is to support young people with Maths and I have deeper understanding of common issues that make Maths difficult to some children. Maths is perceived as a challenging subject, my aim is to remove this perception and welcome Maths as something we are working with in every day of our lives. My work in primary school has helped me become an efficient tutor for children who struggle with basic Maths. I will be approachable for any issues that arise with the work and will be expecting a full commitment from you in return.
If you are looking for an experienced teacher to support your child with Maths, then I am the right person for you!
