History is my passion and I look forward to teaching and enthusing students about it. I am committed to supporting all my students to maximise their full potential. I strongly believe in making the process of learning both fun, fulfilling and challenging in equal measure.
My academic career has nurtured in me a natural talent for teaching. I have been a student since I was 5 until the age of 22, and so I understand the minds of students incredibly well. I hold an upper second-class undergraduate degree at the University of the West of England with honours in History, but currently I am studying for a masters in Contemporary History at the University of Sussex.
Happy to tutor students of all ages! I have developed the skills of history students from aged eight to eighteen.
I use my insights gained from my experience both as a student and as a tutor, to guide students to meet the criteria to achieve their desired grade.
I have always been a keen teacher, since the days of secondary school I have helped friends and family to prepare for exams and write amazing essays. For example, I tutored my sister in her medicine through time GCSE paper, helping to produce revision materials and offer advice and thoughts based on my own experience with the subject.
High levels of success rate in tutoring A-level & GCSE students to go above and beyond their aspired grades by providing dedicated support and guidance.
As a tutor I aim to implement a style centred on combining an innate understanding of both the historical content and the requirements of the exam criteria. I intend to achieve this by relating the complex and tricky concepts in a manner which is easy to follow.
Ultimately, my objective is to make students feel valued, by providing them with an interactive and positive learning environment whereby they feel engaged and challenged each and every session!
Commitment to supporting all students to maximize their full potential, while making the process of learning both fun, fulfilling and challenging in equal measure by providing an interactive and positive learning environment.
