I'm a part-time private tutor, with Qualified Teacher Status and ten years' experience of GCSE and A Level teaching at top UK private schools behind me. I have experience of tutoring, from helping GCSE Religious Studies students wanting to improve their grades, through to A Level Philosophy (with a focus on Ethics) competing for A*s and Oxbridge entry.
Between 2014 and 2021 I taught Religious Studies and Philosophy at Oundle School in Northamptonshire, and now I work at a top private school in Bath.
I graduated from Durham with a 2:1 in Theology before completing my PGCE at Buckingham University.
I was previously a student at Berkhamsted School in Hertfordshire and Pocklington School in Yorkshire, and left with the top grade in Religious Studies, Music, Psychology and French.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, travelling, tennis and cooking.
You can count on me to deliver a professional service and inspire your child with creative learning.
I have done part-time private tutoring for a number of clients over the last ten years, ranging from GCSE to A-Level/ Pre U.
I am a friendly and approachable tutor who takes pride in developing a rapport with both the student and their parents, believing that getting maximum buy-in is the key to success.
Having taught online through periods of school closure recently, I am fully familiar with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and would be happy to use whichever was your preferred suite. In the interests of time, I prefer to tutor online.
Finally, I am a rigorous marker and return marked work quickly, with extensive and constructive feedback. I inspire excellence by teaching creatively and instilling a passion for the subject which I find results in better grades.
