I am passionate about the subjects that I teach and enjoy instilling that enthusiasm in my students. I am currently taking a break from full-time teaching as I have two little boys to look after. I am keen to continue teaching, but in a way that fits in with my new role as a Mum! I have been teaching for 8 years, and enjoy interacting with students of all ages. I believe that my friendly nature will ensure that students feel comfortable with me and not scared to speak up if they don't understand something.
I have been working in an educational setting since 2005, and teaching since 2008. I have a range of experience, from teaching adults History and Sociology in a Further Education College, to teaching History and Sociology at KS3, 4 and 5 in a secondary school. My particular expertise is in teaching GCSE History and A Level Sociology. I have experience of working with a number of different exam boards, including CAVA, AQA and OCR.
I think it is important to go back to the basics with students rather than throwing them in at the deep end. I believe that teaching should be student focused, rather than led solely by the teacher. I will be very much guided by what the student needs in order to achieve their potential.
