I am a recently retired teacher of English. I teach both language and literature; my degree is in both of these. I have wide experience of secondary English teaching, at key stages three, four and five. My experience includes teaching in Inner London Education Authority, comprehensive schools in Devon , a grammar school and an independent school.

Tutoring Experience

I retired last year after teaching Engish since 1975. I became Head of English in 1988 and have held this post ever since.

Tutoring Approach

I have an active approach to tutoring; I plan methodically, in order to provide the students I teach with a relevant, insightful, enjoyable lesson.
