In essence, I want your child to succeed. I'm here to help them find their own path to success.
I have been teaching English language and literature for over ten years in Greater Manchester and have recently began work as an examiner. I have taught students from across the age and ability range, including Drama at KS3. I have taught Media and Film studies up to A-level as well as making my own films, some of which are educational! I have taught the AQA and WJEC specs and find it easy to adapt to most exam specs but please note; I no longer offer tuition for students on the Edexcel IGCSE qualification.
The first thing I always consider is your child's needs and feelings. Some students are intensely focused on what they need to achieve and lessons fly by, whilst others need their confidence slowly building up and it's a gradual process to get them to where they need to be. I try to link what we do in sessions as closely to what students are doing in school in order for you to see results as quickly as possible. When it comes to exams we will look through not only past papers but the mark schemes to make what the markers are after as clear as possible.
