I am Gil, a passionate MEng Aeronautics with Spacecraft Engineering student at Imperial College London, with an active participation in student design projects in leadership roles, and a comprehensive professional experience in tutoring and engineering roles.

Recognising education tends to lack connection with reality, students are faced with tools and examples during my classes, allowing deeper topic understanding. Your pupil's learning goals are paramount, that being the starting point of all sessions. I focus on practical examples, and learning through basic principles, both key to a deep understanding of STEM topics. This approach allows pupils to apply their knowledge to unseen, more challenging problems, and ensures their interest is continuously sparked.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for the past three years, starting while I was still in college. I have a wealth of experience teaching both online and in-person, and have had great success in helping my students improve their marks and reach their goals. I understand the importance of individualized and personal instruction, and I strive to tailor my teaching methods to each student's unique needs and learning style. My passion for STEM subjects and my expertise as an MEng student at Imperial College London allows me to provide engaging and effective lessons that keep students interested and motivated. I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, and have a proven track record of helping them achieve their academic goals.

I am furthermore an active member of the European Youth Parliament, most notably with experience chairing committees in International Forums. Through my sessions I have developed management and discussion skills, extremely valuable in a tutoring environment.

Tutoring Approach

Given my engineering background, I have a practical and fact-based approach to my teaching. I focus on helping students understand the underlying principles of the concepts they are learning, which enables them to tackle new problems with ease in the future. I believe that understanding the basic principles is key to a deep understanding of STEM topics.

I leverage my professional and academic background to bring real-world examples and areas of interest to my students. This helps to motivate learning, foster curiosity and explain the relevance of the topics in a practical context. I understand that every student is unique, so at the beginning of each session we will discuss the areas that need work, and the topics you would like to dive deeper into. If desired, I can provide regular updates on your progress and offer suggestions for what I believe will be beneficial for your learning. My goal is to help you understand and apply the concepts in a way that makes sense to you, and to help you achieve your academic goals.
