Information About George - Aberdeen tutor
This is how 2 referees rated George:
I obtained my PhD Degree in Economics from the University of Dundee in 2017 and currently work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen. Prior to my PhD Degree, I had obtained an MSc and a BSc Economics degrees from the University of Sussex and University of Nigeria, Nsukka, respectively
At the University of Dundee, I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching various courses in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics from 1st to 3rd-year undergraduate Students. I also organised tutorials for MSc Business & Finance Students. I was an Academic Consultant to the Academic Skill Centre and Campus Numerate Group, both in the same university. In the past, I have worked as a Freelance Tutor, teaching all categories of Students from primary school to university level.
My primary objective is to stimulate the interests of my students in the subjects that they are being taught. This is often achieved, but not limited to, by connecting the subject problems to a real-life importance and scenarios. I endeavour to maintain a two-way communication as much as possible; thus allowing students to express themselves freely and ask questions in order to clarify any ambiguity. As a principle, I allow my students to get back to me for further clarifications (via email) during the course of my tutorials.
