I am an experienced and qualified teacher of Maths, English, Spanish, Italian, Latin. and Ancient Greek. I have two degrees: one from the Open University in Psychology and the other from The University of Genoa (Italy) in Philosophy and Classics. I have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education, a Qualified Teacher Status and an updated Enhanced DBS certificate, signed to the DBS update service. I have studied Spanish at Six Form Colleges in the UK and I have kept Spanish and Italian alive by visiting Spanish/Italian speaking Counties and talking /writing to friends in these languages.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored hundreds of students for Common Entrance, Scholarships,11+, 13+,GCSE and A level examinations. I have also taught English as a second language and English Language up to GCSE level. I am up to date with the syllabus and curriculum of every subject I teach, including GCSE specification (9-1).I have tutored students for 11+, 13+ and scholarships for many top UK Colleges ( Eton, Kings College Canterbury, Christ's Hospital, Winchester and Westminster) an many selective Grammar Schools in the UK.

Tutoring Approach

Because I have a degree in psychology, I am aware of the difficulties that some students encounter as a a result of low self esteem, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, school phobia etc. and I am able to help them improve in their personal life and academic performance.
I tutor on line using Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp.
I have been a teacher for many decades but I still have the enthusiasm and commitment to create a stimulating and inspirational environment for my students in order to communicate to them my love for the subjects I teach.
