Maths Lessons in Deal

Experienced bilingual Mathematics tutor, offering teaching for the English curriculum (up to A-level) and the French curriculum (up to Baccalauréat). After a successful career in Technology, working for both large multinational corporates as well as small start-ups, I now focus on tutoring Mathematics full-time in the London and South East areas.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience of teaching Mathematics to a wide range of students. Whether you need study support throughout the school year, revision for exams, or help with Mathematics entrance exams for school or university - whatever the focus I will be able to tailor the sessions to ensure that you reach your goals. Some of my students have participated in National Mathematics competitions and attended top UK universities to study Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is made up of three key pillars.

  1. The first consists of carrying out an in depth review of the student’s current ability and identifying any key areas of weakness. It is then important to build strong foundations, from a theoretical perspective. At GCSE level (or Brevet), students should be targeting grades close to 100%, in order to achieve grades between 80% and 100% at A-level (or Baccalauréat).

  2. The second pillar focuses on working through a wide variety of examples in order to illustrate theory and the abstraction of certain mathematical concepts, to ease the student’s understanding.

  3. The final pillar consists in using technology to present some of the more difficult topics and as a medium for the student to practice questions.

If you would like to improve your grades, my lessons are exactly what you need to get on your way to 100%, especially if you currently have under 50% - I can help!
