I am an SEN teacher specialising in emotional regulation and well-being. I have vast and varied experience in teaching all core subjects as well as providing workshop support to families in developing positive behaviour management and for students with additional needs. I am a very active person and when I'm not teaching I enjoy playing tennis and watching rugby and taking long walks with my dog and husband.
I have over 10 years experience working in education. I gained QTS in 2019 while developing specialist skills in teaching students with SEMH and SEN. Since qualifying I have worked extensively with children with ASD and associated needs and have developed high quality skills and resources to support all students engage in learning and progress their skills and knowledge.
I am very passionate about providing engaging, accessible learning for all children. I understand the barriers to learning that some children face and I am committed to supporting them overcome these to become a confident learner. I ensure I give time to consult with the family to gain a greater understanding of the needs and how I can best provide that service effectively.
I also provide workshops and support to families with children with SEN. I can provide advice and support plans in managing behaviours and relationships as well as supporting the family and young persons in developing life skills and experiences.
