I have 29 years teaching experience and I am a very easy-going teacher who loves to combine humour with hardwork. I am very patient, but I do have a very high expectation of my tutees' performance. My prefered method of teaching is problem solving and continuous review of work covered previously. I have an infectious enthusiasm about the subjects that I teach. I believe that students learn well when they are motivated and I have a trick up my sleeve that makes students love the subject they dread most. Is it maths, chemistry or physics? Bring it on!
I have 29 years teaching experience. I have taught in both independent and maintained schools. I have aided many students to cross the bridge to the university of their first choice including, UCL, Bristol, Liverpool, Loughborough, Warwick, to mention but a few. I am a full time teacher of GCSE Science (Physics, Chem and Bio) and A level Physics and Chemistry. I tutor KS3&4 Science and AS/A2 Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Statistics.
Usually before I begin providing tuition, I do a preliminary needs analysis to establish the tutee's learning needs. This allows me to map out a clear and focused approach to address the specific learning needs of the tutee. I have a winning formula for developing exam skills in my tutees. I use both paper and electronic resources at no extra cost to the student. I have access to resources that are not available to students and possibly to most tutors. I employ teaching methods that are at the cutting edge of instructional practice. There is no substitute for experience and as a former examiner, students who are preparing for exams couldn't wish to be in better hands.
